Time to dry

The seeds are ready. Most of the flower buds have fallen off of the seeds and the flower has reached a level that promotes drying. I cut them off the stem and have set them on the front porch upside down to dry. The drying process takes just four days and four nights outside in the open air. The flowers have been placed in this manner to detour curious birds from steeling the fruit of my labor.
